Start out your week with some fresh ideas. Join us for a professional development session on Monday, March 13, at 8:30 am. to learn more about ChatGPT, the application on everyone's minds. The event will be held at Padilla, located at 101 W. Commerce Road in Richmond. We'll start with networking and breakfast, and the panel and Q&A will be held from 9 to 10 a.m.
ChatGPT gained intense popularity virtually immediately following launch on November 30, 2022. Within weeks, students were cheating on college essays, and Ryan Reynolds even used it to write a commercial for Mint Mobile. In January, ChatGPT reached 100 million monthly active users and became the fastest-growing app in history – faster than Instagram, Twitter and TikTok.
To learn out more about this Large Language Model and what it means for communications professionals and beyond, we've assembled a panel of Richmond experts to share their thoughts and experiences:
Andrew Miller is a data-driven marketer, speaker, and problem solver. In 2015, he co-founded Workshop Digital, a digital marketing agency in Richmond. As the VP of Strategy he devotes his time to developing new tools and strategies to help Workshop Digital’s teams and clients achieve their goals. Andrew regularly speaks to marketing and professional audiences with an authentic, passionate message to raise their collective marketing intelligence.
James Shea is an award-winning journalist, author and publisher. He has experienced first-hand the digital transformation of communications over the last two decades. He has worked at newspapers, magazines, book publishers, radio stations and digital media. He owns a digital communications agency, Media Lab, where he educates small business owners on digital communications and ways to more effectively reach an audience, specifically focused on website and content development.
Kim Foster leads social media at Padilla. Kim has worked with local and national brands across multiple verticals, including Capital One, Hamilton Beach, Performance Food Group and Nando's. She counsels clients on content and paid media best practices, creating social strategies for brands like Winnebago Industries, Capital One, Performance Food Group and Novartis. She has also managed digital ad planning and buying for display, programmatic, digital OOH, paid search, digital video and app-install campaigns.
Registration
Registration is limited! Registration costs are $30 for PRSA members and $40 for non-members. No refunds will be issued, although you can send a colleague in your place if you can't make it.

Enter parking lot off of Bainbridge between 7th and Commerce. Enter building down the stairs by the flagpole. Additional parking on 7th Street.
