About the Program

On average, millennials switch jobs four times in their first decade after college – and, according to Pew Research, Millennials are now the largest generation in the U.S. workforce. To those of us working in it, the PR industry appears to be especially ripe for turnover. The inability to retain talent poses significant business challenges, and many companies are turning to extravagant perks as a stopgap – to little or no effect. Join us as we welcome Jade Faugno, a vice president at Intermarket Communications, to learn about practical, relationship-driven steps that PR people at all levels can take to cultivate a sense of loyalty within their organizations and keep employees around for the long haul.

Learning Objectives:
1.    Understand the conditions that drive high turnover in the PR industry, and the business problems this turnover poses.
2.    Learn to think about attracting and, crucially, retaining talent in terms of opportunities and relationships, rather than perks.
3.    Empower the people in your organization to create a culture of loyalty based on a collective understanding of a happy, productive environment that prioritizes both client and employee needs.

In 2018, Jade was recognized as one of the Public Relations Society of America - New York Chapter's 15 Under 35. She graduated from Princeton University with a degree in English, a certificate in Italian and Phi Beta Kappa honors.
